    (54) Thermal transfer recording method and recording apparatus using the same


    (57) A thermal transfer recording apparatus for transferring an ink of an ink sheet (14) to a recording medium (11) to record an image on the recording medium includes a conveying unit for conveying the ink sheet (14), a determining unit for determining a relative speed of the ink sheet (14) with respect to the recording medium (11) in correspondence with image information, and a control unit (113) for controlling the conveying unit on the basis of the relative speed determined by the determining unit. A thermal transfer recording method is also disclosed.
