Reduced dispersity high aspect ratio tabular grain emulsions |
(57) A high aspect ratio silver bromoiodide tabular grain emulsion is disclosed in which
tabular grains having a thickness of less than 0.3 µm account for greater than 50
percent of the projected area of the total grain population and have an average aspect
ratio of greater than 12. The coefficient of variation of the total grain population
is unusually low when the high average aspect ratio of the tabular grains is taken
into account.
