    (54) Polishing apparatus


    (57) Polishing apparatus comprises a drum (2) for containing polishing material and workpieces to be polished. The drum (2) is arranged to rotate about a first axis. To overcome the disadvantage that, above certain speeds and with rotation about a single axis, the drum contents become trapped against the interior by centrifugal force, the drum (2) is arranged to rotate about a second axis which is radially offset from the first axis.
