    (54) Improved excrement collector

    (57) A collector (10) which, because of its special configuration and form of manufacture, may be easily set up starting out from a flat volume to form a larger three dimensional structure. It is also provided at one of the ends thereof with a bag (13) for collecting excrements and at the other end with a pusher (11) which may be easily separated from said structure with a simple pressure on the weakening line (14).

    Description

[0001] The present Utility Model Application consists, as indicated in the title thereof, of an "IMPROVED EXCREMENT COLLECTOR", the new construction, shape and design features whereof fulfil the purpose for which it has been specifically devised with maximum reliability and efficiency.

[0002] A plurality of excrement collectors are to be found in specialised shops and on the specific market in question and, therefore, they may be deemed to form the state of the art and are constituted mainly by rigid three-dimensional structures in the manner of collector shovels of the type used in the home for collecting dust and waste from the floor, with the aid of a sweeping brush, accompanied or otherwise by paper, plastic or similar material bag dispensers.

[0003] The collector of the present utility model application is directed to facilitating both the use and the carriage of said collector, allowing the user to carry said collector in a pocket or bag since it only occupies a flat volume of negligible thickness.

[0004] The special configuration and form of manufacture of said collector allow it to be easily set up starting out from the said flat volume to form a larger three-dimensional structure which also incorporates at one end an excrement collector bag and at the other end a pusher which may be easily removed from said structure by simple pressure.

[0005] The proposed collector is formed by a generally prismatic body with the two largest sides open and the two larger of the four remaining sides have a different area, since they have the same length but not the same width. From the top side there extends a flat, generally rectangular sheet-like portion, the shorter sides of which are formed by a semicircle and a broken line.

[0006] A bag of paper, plastics or similar material extends from the body of the collector and is attached thereto by adhesive material.

[0007] In view of the special shape thereof, said body may be folded to give a flat form which may be folded on itself and in this position it may easily be carried in a pocket. It may be subsequently set up at the time of use while removing with a slight pressure the flat sheet-like portion extending from one of the sides, which portion serves as a pusher, being folded by a centre fold line to become more rigid.

[0008] Further details and features of the present utility model application will be disclosed in the following description, in which reference is made to the accompanying drawings in which, schematically, the preferred details are shown. These details are given as an example, relating to one possible embodiment, but this is not limited to the details shown therein; therefore this description may be considered from an illustrative point of view, without limitations of any nature.

Figure 1 is a side perspective view of the body (10) of the collector, with the pusher (11) attached to one of the smaller sides of the body (10).

Figure 2 is a side perspective view in which a bag (13) has been attached to the body (10) of the collector around the perimeter (12) of the body (10).

[0009] In one of the preferred embodiments of the object of the present utility model application as may be seen in Figures 1 and 2, the body (10) of the collector is shaped like a prism open on its two largest sides and the bottom side (10b) of which is wider than the top side (10a) but has the same length. This allows the portion of the side (10b) not covered by (10a) to act as a surface or lever to facilitate the introduction of the excrements to be collected within the body (10).

[0010] From the edge (14) of the side (10a) of the body (10) there extends a flat sheet-like member (11) having a longitudinal fold line (11′) serving as pusher once the user has separated said sheet-like member (11) from the top side (10a), owing to the edge (14) being a microperforated line.

[0011] The bag (13), which is what really collects and contains the excrements inserted through the body (10) with the aid of the pusher (11) is adhered to the perimeter of one of the open sides.

[0012] Thanks to the special shape and design of the body (10), it may be easily folded at the edges (14) and (15) to result in a flat object which may be folded over itself to occupy approximately a rectangular flat area of 8 x 18 centimetres. This makes it easy to carry and to use and it may be disposed of in any of the containers situated on the public way and may be of the disposable type since the manufacture thereof allows it to be sold for a moderate price, thereby making it unnecessary for the user to carry large rigid structure collectors, which are hard to handle and require periodic cleaning.

[0013] After contemplating the drawings and the explanation we have made thereof it will be understood that the utility model application motivating the present specification provides a simple effective construction which may be very easily produced, forming without any doubt a new industrial result.

[0014] It is stated for the pertinent effects that all variations and modifications of detail which the circumstances and practice might advise may be introduced into the object of the present model, provided that the essence as summarised in the following claims is not altered or modified with the variations introduced.

    Claims

An "IMPROVED EXCREMENT COLLECTOR", characterised in that it is formed or constructed from a flat sheet from which there results a generally prismatic body (10), open on the larger sides, the smaller sides (10a) and (10b) of which have the same length but a different width, there extending from the top side (10a) a flat sheet-like member (11) or excrement pusher.

    2. An "IMPROVED EXCREMENT COLLECTOR", characterised according to the first claim in that the pusher (11) is formed by a generally rectangular flat sheet-like member the smaller sides of which are formed by a semicircle and a broken line, and in the larger sides of which there is a longitudinal recess (11˝).

    3. An "IMPROVED EXCREMENT COLLECTOR", characterised according to the previous claim in that the excrement pusher (11) is attached to the top side (10a) of the collector body (10) by a line (14) of microperforations.

    4. An "IMPROVED EXCREMENT COLLECTOR", characterised according to the first claim in that the excrement collector body (10) is provided with fold lines along the edges (14) and (15).

    5. An "IMPROVED EXCREMENT COLLECTOR", characterised according to the first claim in that to the perimeter (12) of one of the open larger sides of the body (10), there is attached the collector bag (13) with the necessary means.
