    (57) A human hair depilatory device including a hand held portable housing, a first element (20) arranged to be driven in rotational motion relative to skin bearing hair to be removed, the first element (20) comprising a plurality of hair engaging locations at which adjacent hair engaging surfaces of the first element are spread apart when the hair engaging locations are disposed by rotation at a convex side and at which the adjacent hair engaging surfaces of the first element are moved relatively towards each other in hair engaging arrangement when the hair engaging locations are disposed by rotation at a concave side, the rotational motion of the first element (20) producing motion of the hair engaging locations from the convex side to the concave side for engagement and removal of hair from the skin and a second element (22) disposed interiorly of said first element (20) and arranged to be driven in rotational motion and to define a hair support for hair engaged between adjacent hair engaging surfaces.
