The natural language sentence generating apparatus also comprises a search section (12) for searching the grammatical rule storing section, an interpreting section (13) for interpreting the grammatical rules stored in the grammatical rule storing section, and generating section (14) for generating a phrase structure from a set of information on a grammatical function imparted to a particular grammatical rule by interpreting and applying the particular grammatical rule which is extracted from the grammatical rule storing section by the search section.
