    (54) Sensing/printing apparatus and related method


    (57) A reproducing system (20) uses an array of photodetector elements (22) to sense an image from an original document page (26) and a corresponding array of printing elements to print the image onto a duplicate document page (28). Mirror-imaging between the original and duplicate documents is avoided by electrical (84) or mechanical elements (30) that couple the photodetector and printing arrays.
