Lithographic plate finisher |
(57) A finisher composition for lithographic printing plates comprises a water-soluble
resin having a film-forming ability and a compound selected from an acetylene alcohol,
an acetylene glycol and an adduct of an alkylene oxide with the acetylene alcohol
or acetylene glycol. When used for gumming-up, the finisher composition provides a
strong effect of desensitizing the non-image areas of the lithographic printing plates.
It does not affect or lower the ink receptivity of the image areas of the lithographic
printing plates, and has a high throughput capacity.
