(57) A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed. The silver halide emulsion layer of the light-sensitive material is sensitized in infrared region of the spectrum by a cationic di- or tri-carbocyanine sensitizing dye and a compound represented by formula I, II or III;

The light-sensitive material is improved in stability of the coating solution of the silver halide emulsion for standing during in its production process and also improved in stability for prolonged storage after production.
