    (57) A flat (10) comprising a load-carrying platform (11) of generally rectangular configuration and having stacking members (15) which are releasably engaged with the platform and which, when engaged with the platform, are pivotably mounted on the platform for movement between an inoperative position in which the members are collapsed and an operative position in which the members are upstanding and are adapted at their upper ends to engage and support a similar flat.
