    (54) Method for editing character bitmaps at small sizes


    (57) A method to detect and fix certain topological errors in character bitmaps by (1) enumerating the pixels in an order determined by the path topology, (2) searching for sequences of pixels corresponding to a pointed feature in the character that touches other parts of the character bitmap, and (3) editing the bitmap to fix such incorrect contacts.
