    (54) Tissue web, method for preparing and use of same


    (57) Printing of tissue webs, such as those used for facial and bath tissue, with a colorant in an overall pattern of small colored areas wherein at least about 5 percent of the surface area of the overall pattern is covered by the small colored areas, provides an economical alternative to coloring tissue webs by dyeing all of the fibers of the tissue web at the wet end of the tissue process.
