    (57) An ink jet recording apparatus (100) includes a recording device (9) for depositing ink onto a recording medium (40) with relative movement therebetween to effect recording on the recording medium; a shaft (51) engageable with a part of the recording device and rotatable about an eccentric axis; and a member (51c) for supporting the shaft adjacent longitudinal ends thereof for eccentric rotation of the shaft to change relative positional relation between the recording device and the recording medium.
