Tire side member raising and pressure-joining apparatus |
(57) A tire side member raising and pressure-joining apparatus includes two support shafts
(26) movable toward and away from each other and toward and away from a semi-produced
tire; two raising rollers (29) tapered toward their free ends and supported by forward
ends of the support shafts rotatably about center axes of the support shafts, respectively;
and two pressure-joining rollers (36) supported at distal ends of the forward ends
of the support shafts rotatably about rotating axes perpendicular to the center axes
of the support shafts, respectively. Parts of the pressure-joining rollers extend
from free ends of the raising rollers. While the semi-produced tire is being rotated,
side member (5) are raised by the raising rollers and the raised side members are
pressure-joined to sidewall portions of the semi-produced tire by the pressure-joining
rollers.
