    (54) Silver halide color photographic material containing colored coupler


    (57) A silver halide color photographic material comprising a support having thereon at least one light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one colored coupler capable of releasing a water-soluble compound comprising a 6-hydroxy-2-pyridone-5-azo group by a coupling reaction with an oxidized aromatic primary amine developing agent. The colored coupler provides correction of undesired side-absorption of a dye image in a color negative photographic material.
