    (57) A security system for ensuring that a platform (18) is correctly loaded, comprising weight sensors (19, 20, 21, 22) sensitive to the laden weight of the platform (18) when preliminarily check loaded, storage means (38, 39) for storing a value corresponding to the correct load, a comparator 33 connected to the said weight sensors (19, 20, 21, 22) and to the said storage means (38, 39) and operative, when energised, to provide an alarm signal if the weight sensed upon energisation does not lie within a predetermined range of the said preliminary check loading thereof.
