(57) The connecting arrangement (15) connects panels (16, 17) to each other or to a support
structure (18) by means of a shaped interconnecting member (31) with slots (41) which
are disposed along a longitudinal axis (32), and a plurality of cam fixing members
(51). Each fixing member comprises a first engagement body (53) which can be inserted
into a slot and two lateral limbs (69, 71) which are spaced from the engagement body
and which are engageable into a groove (28) at an edge (27) of the two panels, after
pre-positioning of a side of the panels between two limbs (38, 39) and two side portions
(36, 37) of the interconnecting member, and engagement of the first engagement body
(53) into one of the slots (41). A given rotary movement of the fixing member in the
slot around its main axis (52) retains the first engagement member (53) against a
channel (33) of the interconnecting member. The limbs (38, 39) respectively provide
axial cam profiles (72) which act on the grooves in the panels in such a way as to
clamp the panels against the interconnecting member.
