    (57) A novel silver halide color photographic material is provided comprising on a support at least one silver halide emulsion layer, wherein the material contains a compound represented by general formula (I):

    wherein A represents a coupler residue excepting 1 H-pyrazolo[1,5-b]-1,2,4-triazole and 1 H-pyrazolo[5,1-c]-1,2,4-triazole; L, represents

    in which W represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a tertiary amino group, and R11 and R12 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent; L2 represents a group which undergoes electron migration along a conjugated system to release INH-(CH2)n-Q; INH represents a development inhibitor residue bonded to L2 via a hetero atom; n represents an integer of 0 to 3; and Q represents a group having a molecular weight of 80 to 250.
