    (54) Panel for coating and restoring frontages and building walls

    (57) Panel (1) for coating and restoring frontages and building walls, of the kind made of a material of a thermo-acoustically insulating nature, such as agglomerated cork or polyurethane, essentially characterized in that it presents a preferably rectangular, regular configuration, of uniform thickness, comprising on one of its faces an arbitrary engraving or grooving (2) of a design configuration, and provided on its general surfaces with a paint of waterproofing nature and of any colour, including on its rear face, the latter presenting or being able to receive a layer of an adhesive material.

    Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a panel for coating and restoring frontages and building walls.

[0002] The invention concerns a modular panel, specially designed for coating building walls, and being, without distinction of application on frontage walls as well as on inside walls, in order to reach a high level of thermal and acoustic insulation of the premises or houses and to provide at the proper time, on the coated wall, a visible material which advantageously replaces the traditional processes of finishing, such as replastering, painting and the like. The panel presents on its visible face an engraving or grooving having the configuration of a design of any type, in accordance with the decoration, and on its rear face intended to contact the wall to be coated, the panel presents or is able to receive a layer of an adhesive material.

[0003] In the cases of the panels being intended for coating or restoring frontages or outside walls, which are exposed to bad weather conditions, these panels are provided with a paint of a waterproof nature, of any colour, acting as a protecting medium against the action of the weathering agents.

[0004] The component material of the panel may be an agglomerated cork or any other product which presents the suitable conditions of thermo-acoustic insulation, for example polyurethane of a density between 20-100.

[0005] In order to facilitate the explanation, the present specification is accompanied with a sheet of drawings showing an exemplative embodiment of the invention.

[0006] Figure 1 shows a coating panel in a perspective view.

[0007] Figure 2 is a schematical and elevational cross-section of the panel shown in position of use.

[0008] Referring to the Figures, a panel generally designated by 1 may be seen, this panel adopting a rectangular configuration, having a uniform thickness of about 3 cm. The main face of the panel presents an engraving or grooving 2 which in the case of the example, simulates an aspect of bricks or masonry but however this grooving may be of any form, configuration or relief. The panel is covered on its whole surfaces with an waterproofing pain of any colour, schematically shown by the dotted line 3.

[0009] For its fixing to the wall 4, the panel bears on its rear surface, a layer 5 of an adhesive material.

[0010] The advantages of using the panel forming part of the invention are those such as mentioned previously concerning the thermo-acoustic insulation and moreover those advantages deriving from the substitution of the traditional painting or replastering, and the elimination of the outside insulation materials for the frontages and consequently the room-forming walls.

[0011] The invention in its essentiality can be carried out in practice as other embodiments differing from those such as indicated by way of example in the above-mentioned description without departing from the scope of the present patent. The panels according to the invention can be made in any form and sizes with the most suitable materials.
