    (54) Double decoiler connectable to cutting and rewinding machines


    (57) A double decoiler (10) comprising two superposed moving trucks (12, 12') in which are loaded alternately the reels (28, 34) of tape to be decoiled and, for each truck, means of cutting and splicing the tapes (38) of the reel (28) being exhausted with that (38') of the new reel to be decoiled.
    The means of splicing the tapes comprise bars (44,48) and moving cylinders (42,46) for drawing them near and away from the table on which runs the tape being decoiled. The bars (44,48) are provided with suction holes (66) to keep the tape in adherence to the bar and blades (52) for cutting the tapes coming from the reels being exhausted, said blades being covered with a retractable shield (54).
