Composition to impart flame retardation and process to apply such compositions |
(57) An aqueous composition comprising an insoluble ammonium polyphosphate, a surfactant
and a heat curable resin, which may also contain a soluble ammonium polyphosphate
and/or a carbamic acid derivative, forms a shearable paste which, when applied to
the back of a fabric and heat cured, flame retards the fabric without exuding to the
front face and causing resin and/or salt marks.
