    (54) System including ink ribbon and correction tape cassettes having a compatibility arrangement


    (57) An arrangement for assuring cassette compatibility in a device which utilities a first (2,2a) and second (10,10a) cassette in the operation thereof, the arrangement including engaging formations (8,44,16,46) located on the first and second cassettes which ensure that the cassettes are functionally compatible with each other when inserted in the device.
    The arrangement may be further configured, to assure cassette compatibility in a device having a switch means controlling the on-off condition thereof, so as to activate the on-off switch (60) of the device only when functionally compatible cassettes are present therein.
