(57) The invention relates to a microstrip antenna comprising a patch (32) of conductive
material spaced from a ground plane by a substrate of dielectric material. The patch
(32) comprises a first edge (F) connected electrically to the ground plane (8) and
a further edge (G) arranged substantially parallel to the first edge (F) and a longer
length than the first edge (F). In one embodiment a plurality, preferably four, patches
(32) extend radially about a common point.
