    (54) Digital signal reproducing apparatus


    (57) Apparatus for reproducing a digital signal, recorded on tracks (T1, etc.) formed slantwise and sequentially on a magnetic tape (1) by a rotary head, comprises a playback device for driving the magnetic tape at a speed higher than a normal playback speed and reproducing the digital signal from the tracks, and a detector circuit (20) for detecting a plurality of identifying data included in the reproduced digital signal and enhancing the accuracy of the detected identifying data by subjecting it to a majority rule treatment (30).
