[0001] The subject of the instant patent is a retirable linen spreading, which can be produced
of several raw materials, being provided with a particular adaptability feature on
all tipe of manufactured items, both to be put inside or outside.
[0002] Up to nowadays the spreadings to be found on the market did result not too practical
in the use and not too easy to move, and often it had been necessary to make use of
suddenly arranged metal profiles fitted to the purpose, with a number of job discomforts
in finding and installing the required material, and apart of it the serious danger
conditions about the safety of the user as well as of third persons, and also the
lack of stylish respect of the architectural building lines. The above mentioned spreading
is intended to solve the above mentioned drawbacks.
[0003] In particular, thanks to its versatility, permitting it to be utilized in several
positions, it is provided with a thoroughly studied mechanism for its complete closure,
with a rotation of quite 270° thus causing it to come back in a complete way, to the
inside of the balcony.
[0004] From the analysis of the object one can see its easiness of installation on projecting
parts of every material, and how easy it is possible to install it on different thicknesses,
and further how it is apt to cover every type of lenght in accordance with the requirements
of its user; no fixed encumbrance, a sturdy geometric configuration, independently
from the material used to build it.
[0005] Notwithstanding the following detailed description, the linen spreading is supplied,
of course, in pairs, even if it is possible to supply single pieces in case it is
required to have such items for some particular lengths.
[0006] Advantages and features shall result from the above mentioned description, which
represents a preferred carrying-out form, in this particular instance all the material
used is stainless steel, but these are not exclusive features of the invention, which
is shown without any limitation and as an indication only in the Tables of the attached
drawings, wherein:
FIGURE 1 - Side view of the retirable linen spreading, showing all parts of it, organ
or element of same, being several times represented and always distinguished with
the same number of the figure. With reference to the description in the margin, one
may notice its three different functions:
I) Closed position, perfectly on the vertical middle line with reference to its fastening
or anchorage, with a very small encumbrance size, and possibility of use for small
size articles. II) Inside opening position, with the arms along the perpendicular
axis, in order to be able to make use of it in case of unfavorable weather conditions.
III) Outside opening position, being as above on the middle line, but with opposite
direction, and a large possibility of use for all kinds of items to be let there to
dry. And indeed, thanks to its sturdiness quality, the safe and sturdy lever consisting
of 25 mm 0̸ pipes, are able to support considerable loads.
[0007] The above mentioned arms are running, together with a fastening bolt, within a purposely
made hollow slot included in the upper element (No. 2 - FIGURES 1-2) which consents
not only the translation movement but also a 270° rotation in the three already mentioned
working positions.
FIGURE 2 - It is a front view in the closed position, which shows not only the fastening
of the item on a balustrade, being hypothetical as a matter of facts, but also the
top element (No. 2 - FIGURES 1-2-3) with diameter 2 mm, and the bottom element (No.
5 - FIGURES 1-2-4), and also the anti-sliding trapeze bar (No. 4 - FIGURES 1-2-3),
being connected, thanks to a bolt, under the top element.
FIGURE 3 - It shows the top element, being seen in three positions: side position,
front position, and from the top side. The first detail (No. 2) shows the arm in one
of its three positions, the rest position (No. 1), as well as the two bolts passing
inside the guide of the top element (No. 2), where one of them, thanks to another
slot having been cut in the lower part of the top element, supports the trapeze bar
(No. 4) in one of the possible assembly positions, ending under the bottom element
(No. 5 - FIGURE 4) with washer and nut for the fastening. The other bolt passes through,
inside, the above mentioned top element (No. 2) and the trapeze bar (No. 3) being
welded and therefore forming an unitary body with the same element. Also in this case
the bolt ends under the bottom element (No. 5 - FIGURE 4) with nut and washer, for
the fastening.
FIGURE 4 - It represents the bottom element (No. 5) being seen, the same as above,
from the side, frontally and from above. In this element, the last one, a further
slot according to the above has been made, in order to consent the installation of
the retirable linen spreading on many different thicknesses. The same as for the top
element, in the bottom one also they did make a suitable place for the arms, once
they have been placet to their closed position.
[0008] In the considered case, the function is not only a mater of fine looking, but it
is above all a matter of operation, in oder to avoid all possible convergency of the
above mentioned levers in their closed position, due to the tension of the wires passing
through the same ones.
[0009] A short mention is due to the wires to be used; after careful load tests, the most
suitable ones did results the nylon wires with diameter 5/6 mm; there is almost no
possibility of wear since they pass through some special abrasionproof bushings being
installed within suitably placed holes in the arms.
1. Retirable linen spreading being suitable to be made in different materials, and preferably
in stainless steel, characterized by a very particular system of slots being made
on the sides and within the opening-closing mechanism, in an arc of 270°.
2. Retirable linen spreading, according to the claim 1, characterized by the fact that
the arms are connected with the part of the top element of the mechanism through bolts
and nuts, which run through suitable slots.
3. Retirable linen spreading, according to the claim 1, characterized by the fact that
arms are running, together with a fastening bolt, within a purposely made hollow slot
inclouded in the upper element which consents not only the translation movement but
also a 270° rotation in the three working positions.
4. Retirable linen spreading, according to the claim 1, characterized by the fact that
in closed position the arms are perfectly on the vertical middle line with reference
to the anchorage, in inside opening position the arms are along the perpendicular
axis, in outside opening position the arms being as above on the middle line, but
with opposite direction.
5. Retirable linen spreading to the claim 1, characterized by the fact that every element,
part or organ, is deprived of sharp angles for a better safety of the users, plus
the stoppers made of shockproof material placed on the ends of the arms ans abrasionproof
bushing installed within holes for passing wires through.
6. Retirable linen spreading in every part suitable forged, as indicated in one or more
of the above claims and in accordance with the descriptions and illustrations for
the specified purposes.
