    (54) Liquid medium applicator

    (57) A wax applicator for uniformly applying a wax to a floor surface with a thin film of wax without solidification of the wax during a wax applying operation is disclosed. When a knob (15b) for an adjusting valve (14a) immovably mounted on a rod-shaped grip handle (1) for the wax applicator is openably actuated with an operator's hand, drops of wax fall down from a plurality of tube nozzles (18) arranged in the equally spaced relationship on a base (4) of the wax applicator. The wax is contained in a bag-shaped container (13) mounted on the intermediate part of the grip handle (1) in the absence of air and flows down to the tube nozzles (18) via filters (12a, 12b), an adjusting valve (15a), a distributing chamber (17) and discharge passages (17c). When a wax applying operation is interrupted, the wax applicator is placed on a tray (30) for moistening it with the aid of a cloth (9) tightly expanded over the base (4) of the wax applicator. Since steam is filled in the space between the cloth (9) and the base (4), solidification of the wax is prevented reliably.
