Process and composition for treating fabrics |
(57) A process and composition for the domestic treatment of a fabric to reduce the amount
of dye released from the fabric during wet treatments comprising the steps of contacting
the fabric with a solution of the composition comprising a cationic dye fixing agent
wherein the temperature of the solution is below 40°C throughout the process.
The invention has the advantage that dye transfer between coloured and white or coloured
and coloured fabrics during wet treatments such as laundering is reduced.
