    (57) Digital filter composing apparatus, wherein a series of processings are automatically repeated, i.e., candidate functions are selected by candidate function selecting means, the frequency characteristic of the temporary transmission function is extracted, and the frequency characteristic of the temporary transmission function and the specification of frequency characteristic are compared with each other by characteristic comparing means so as to generate temporary difference information, which eliminates the manual edition of a transmission function and a trial and error decision of an adopted fundamental function.
