Barrier for spanning two supports and method of spanning |
(57) The invention describes coated conductive elements of a type which are suitable for
electric fencing applications and describes desirable characteristics of a coating.
One described embodiment according to the invention comprises a coated conductive
core; said coating, comprising at least one layer, being ultra-violet stable and flex-damage
resistant as defined in the specification, the electric resistivity of said coating
when measured radially exceeding 1300µΩ/cm, the coating being further characterised
in that the product of its average thickness and dielectric strength is less than
8kV. Coatings may be applied, for example, to protect the core or to alter visibilty.
