    (54) Adhesive labels on a roll

    (57) Self-adhesive lengths of labels (2) on a roll (5) have the disadvantage that they cannot be provided with a tangible warning (3) on the labels (1) since the roll (5) would "overturn" due to the elevations (3) which would all be at the same level in the roll (5).
According to the invention the length of labels (6) is provided with some further elevations (4) on both sides of the labels (1), whereby the web can be wound up in the usual manner, because the distance between the layers in the roll (5) will remain uniform in the entire height of the roll, whereby the required stability is obtained and thus the possibility of using label rolls (5) with tangible warnings (3) in the usual labelling machines.
The subsequent affixing of the warning onto labels, either while the labels are being affixed or subsequently, is hereby avoided.
