    (54) Rodless cylinder

    (57) The present invention provides a rodless cylinder (10) capable of displacing a piston (62) without its operation stoppage in particular even when a large load or force is applied, smoothly reciprocating a sliding table (14) and forming its entire structure in a compact manner. The rodless cylinder according to the present invention has a cylinder body (12) and an L-shaped sliding table (14). A rail-shaped member (24) fitted on a linear guide member (22) of the sliding table (14) is mounted on the upper surface of the cylinder body, which is held against the sliding table (14), so as to extend along the longitudinal direction of the cylinder body (12). A plurality of ball bearings (26) are linearly disposed inside the linear guide member (22) held in engagement with the rail-shaped member (24) so as to extend along the longitudinal direction of the linear guide member (22).
