(57) Improvements in winding and tying machines, these being intended for the automatic
production of skeins of cordiform materials, these improvements consisting basically
of the incorporation of a second pair of concealable fingers (6), connected rotationally
to the blocks (5) onto which they are assembled on the winding chuck (1) and to a
strip (9) activated by a mechanism of arms on which a cylinder (18) acts to position
the fingers (6) in a vertical position or concealed, in such a way that, for the production
of rolls or skeins of greater diameter, the mechanism can incorporate two pairs of
concealable fingers (25), between which there is a tying mechanism (27), or these
fingers (34) can be fixed in a vertical position.
