[0001] The present invention refers to a container for photographic items.
[0002] The novelty of the container of the invention consists of its easy construction method
and also its functional quality since it has an easy and safe closure.
[0003] Containers of this type have within their constructional characteristics certain
problems that derive from their shape and also have some problems when in use.
[0004] The container of the invention corrects these problems and also has certain characteristics
that make it highly operative.
[0005] According to the invention, the container is made up of two semi-cylindrical bodies
joined by hinges.
[0006] Also, the opening of these bodies is regulated by a stop so that the opening will
not be more than 145°.
[0007] The container has two seatings for a shoulder strap on the sides of the container,
that stand out above it to the height of the edge of the cover, so that it remains
in the correct position, one of the same having a single elongated hole to hook on
the strap and hold it to a special buckle. The other has two elongated holes,, one
to hold the other end of the strap, mounted differently so that the other buckle,
the same as the first one, allows the strap to be lengthened or shortened until the
ideal length is obtained. The other hole is used together with the special fastener
to hold the strap in such a way that the container may be carried hanging vertically
from the shoulder.
[0008] The strap has a small elastic tape attached with a closure to hold it in such a way
that it can be carried in the hand.
[0009] The container is long enough to hold one or more photographic camera lenses, including
a filter carrier in a container or various joined together if they form a single element.
[0010] A fundamental characteristic of the invention is in the closure.
[0011] On one of the bodies a metal part is attached by screws with a steel plate on the
lower part, while to the other body is attached another metal plate. These metal parts
are joined together so that they form a single flat surface.
[0012] The steel plate is attached by screws to the respective metal part and with screws
to the body corresponding to one of the two parts of the container.
[0013] A metal piece has a hole to which is attached a button that is held by a nut and
bold to the respective body or part.
[0014] Also, the metal part has a lowered part which causes the closure when one end of
the other metal part is attached to it, the latter part having a notch in which is
coupled in the closure one end of a projection facing the other metal part.
[0015] With this, when the button is pressed downwards the metal part descends and hooks
into the other metal part.
[0016] In order to make the closure, once the button is released and the two metal parts
have their ends together, the coupling is made and the corresponding seating.
[0017] In order to more easily understand not only the make-up but also the use of the container
of the invention itself, reference is made below to a practical example, with this
being merely enunciative and in no case limits the same, all as shown in the attached
drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows a front view of the container.
Figure 2 shows a view in perspective of the open container.
Figure 3 shows a sectional view of the closure area.
Figure 4 shows a top view of the steel plate used in the closure.
Figure 5 shows a view of one of the metal parts of the closure.
Figure 6 shows a top view of the other metal piece of the closure.
Figure 7 shows a view of the closure button.
[0018] With reference to the drawings, these show: the container 1 formed by two parts 2
and 3, semi-cylindrical and joined by hinges 4.
[0019] Part 2 that forms the body of the container has on the side two pieces 5 that are
riveted or screwed to the body 2 and which have handles 6 to hold the straps that
form the carrying handle 7 for which buckles 8 and bars 9 are also used.
[0020] The closure 10 of the container is formed by two metal pieces 11 and 12 of different
length, the larger one having a steel plate 13 on its lower face held by a screw 14
and also the steel plate 13 is screwed to a projecting end 15.
[0021] The other metal piece 11 has a lowered part 16 and a hole 17 in which is mounted
a button 18 with a central hole 19 in which is placed a nut 20 fixed to a bolt 21
that forms part of item 3.
[0022] The other part 12 is held by a screw to the body 2 and has a cutout 22 in which is
seated a projection 23 of part 11.
[0023] When the button 18 is pressed downwards and the closure of part 11 opens it moves
downwards elastically coupling itself to the projection 23 in the cutout 22.
[0024] Having sufficiently described the nature of the invention and also
1. Container for photographic articles; characterized because it is formed by two semi-cylindrical
parts held together by hinges, one of which parts that forms the cover has an edging-type
border, while on the sides of the container body are attached two pieces that form
the handles to which the lengths of the strap are attached with its latches and buckles
to adjust the length of the strap that forms the handle; and because the closure has
two metal pieces of different lengths, one of which is attached to a steel plate attached
to the area of the cover while the other metal part is attached to the body of the
container, with the closure being formed by male/female closures and by the elastic
effect of the steel plate.
2. Container according to claim 1, characterized because the metal part of the closure
with the greater length has a hole in which is placed a button held by a nut and bolt
to the cover and also with a lowering at the end and a projection that aids in the
respective coupling of a projection and cutout on the other metal part facing it and
which overlap in this area.
