    (57) A sealed multi-contact electrical connector (1a) for interconnecting wires (17) to an electronic module (1b) includes a plug (4) and a receptacle (3a) with an internal seal (21), an external gasket (15) and screw seals (13a) engaging the plug (4) and receptacle surfaces to seal mating contacts (10, 18); a front cover (16) includes locking teeth (34) and a central housing has a mating pawl (33) and lances that function to preclude engagement of plug (4) and receptacle (3a) unless the contacts (10,18) are properly seated and the cover (16) and housing closed.
