    (57) Method and system for the assembly of fixtures and equipment in a ship galley or like space. The fixtures and equipment are assembled as prefabricated fixture modules (10). The fixture modules comprise an equipment underlay (12), a frame portion formed of a wall and/or ceiling panel (14, 16, 18) and fixtures (44, 46) preassembled to said frame portion, such as cupboards, shelves and ovens as well as the necessary water armatures (52, 54) and electric and air conditioning devices (62, 63, 64, 65).
