    (57) In a method of making a dot matrix printer head comprising an ink supply tank (2,2'') containing ink absorbing means (60'', 61, 62), the ink absorbing means (60'', 61, 62) is impregnated with ink at a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure, preferably in the range of 5-10 mmHg.
