    Description

[0001] This invention as a subject has a fly screen assembly kit and locking device composed of standard components particularly in a do-it-yourself package.

[0002] The innovation finds particular if also not exclusive application in the sector of accessories for casings, and in particular in the packaging and in the installation of fly screens of the do-it-yourself types.

[0003] At the present stage of technology there are well known fly screens. These can be subdivided into two types, the first considered being the fly screen par excellence, which is supplied to measure from the producer exclusively to the installer, and therefore is of a quality decidedly higher than that found in others, ang thus gives a reasonably good result. A second type of fly screen actually present on the market, is instead destined for a decidedly vaster public. More in particular it utilizes the typical do-it-yourself concept and therefore the known technology, but it cannot be compared qualitatively with the former, even if it offers a product able to sufficiently satisfy common needs. In both the types cited, there are common constitutive elements, substantially a box-profile, or generally a profile in aluminium, inside which the coiling roll of the fly screen joined to the corresponding preloaded recall spring is inserted coaxially. The ends of the box-profile are then normally closed by suitable small plates of fixed or non-adjustable type. More in detail, at one end a type of plate is provided in which a hole is made to engage the key of the winding pivot of the spring, at the other end is a second type of plate, always able to be inserted on the profile of the box-profile, but that longitudinally provides a support pivot for the coiling roll. Naturally, variations are also known, but all are very similar to the described solution.

[0004] Traditionally in the packaging of the roller fly screen, the use of pre-assembled box-profiles defined in bars, having sizes that are standardised, give the user the possibility to purchase a bar of the wanted size, measure the opening on which they must intervene and finally cut the bar to the wanted size to then proceed with assembly. As regards the box-profile, being pre-assembled, the kit provides for the application at one end, at the head of the aluminium profile, of a plate in which the key of the winding pivot of the spring engages, while at the other end it is preferable not to apply the pivot support plate, as the end will be destined to be discarded depending on the sizes of the opening on which the application is to be made. In the packaging, besides a small plate, the relative handle bar is also supplied, as well as the accessories, which may include the rabbet brush, and so on. To conclude, inside the box-profile, between the roll and the internal walls of the profile, during the packaging it is a good norm to insert lathes or perpendicular staves of cardboard, which are disposed at least on two adjacent sides, and have a sufficient thickness so as to prevent, as much as possible, the movement of the coiling roll inside the aluminium profile. In the solution disclosed above there are diverse drawbacks which are noticed straight away. First of all the excessive time required by the firm, in the preparation of the packaging of every single fly screen assembly kit, mainly with regards to the manual intervention of the operator, who must every now and then insert the said longitudinal staves. In the second place the presence of such a device, would, however, not confer a particular fixing of components in the fly screen assembly kit and in particular of the roll in respect to the metallic profile. As a result, when the user has to make the cut perpendicular to the bar of the box-profile it will be almost impossible to make it correctly because of the natural mobility of the roll which causes movements that could also cause some differences in the sizes of the cut between the various components. In the best of hypotheses the user has nothing further to do than carry out further rectifications and only at the end, after umpteenth adaptations, to set about the installation. But this is not all, in fact jointly to the box-profile it is also necessary to cut to measure the corresponding handle bar, which must be of the same length as the box-profile. Furthermore it is somewhat frequent, in order to shorten installation times, to resort to a single cut of all components held together manually, which can further worsen drawbacks previously described and consequently complicate the installation.

[0005] Some firms of the sector have tried to obviate the drawbacks described above by trying to help the user mainly in the task of cutting the bar to measure. Therefore, a box-profile package was prepared, without some of the modifications previously mentioned or without always providing the pre-inserted cardboard staves, but with the handle bar already attached to the end of the net and successively refolded on one side of the said box-profile. All was wound in a thermo-retractable film, in some cases also showing the units of measurement made on the packaging. In such a way, it is possible for the user to carry out a single cutting operation that simultaneously affects both the box-profile and the handle bar. However in this case there are observable drawbacks besides those already cited for the preceding solution relative to the displacement of the roll, regarding the fact that the handle bar is not held firmly to the box-profile thus preventing it from being cut precisely and contemporaneously to all the components present in the package.

[0006] The aim of the present invention is also to obviate the above-mentioned drawbacks.

[0007] This and other aims are reached with the present innovation according to characteristics of the included claims solving exposed problems by means of a fly screen assembly kit with locking device particularly in packaging of a standard length to be eventually cut to the right length for installation, of the type composed essentially from a box-profile inside which is previously inserted the coiling roll of the fly screen with respective handle bar and the corresponding preloaded recall spring; said box-profile at one end providing, associated to the profile, a supporting plate having engagement means for the key of the winding pivot of the spring, at the other end a disposable accessory having a first engagement means for attachment onto the head of the box-profile and a second engagement means for the heads of both the coiling roll and the handle bar so that after the box-profile is cut to the right length, it is finally replaced by a mounting plate for the support of the coiling roll only, engaged finally to the new end of a box-profile.

[0008] In such a way through the notable creative contribution the effect of which realises an immediate technical progress, different advantages are achieved that predominantly reflect on the quality of the installation of the fly screen. Firstly the cutting-to-measure task is made easier, simultaneously for the box-profile and the handle bar, without having to resort to other operations and consequent adaptations, with a notable saving of time. Furthermore the packaging procedure is simplified with a considerable saving even in the case of times and costs, avoiding having to resort to the insertion of staves inside the profile, but above all giving a product that when packed has an appearance that is extremely compact and easily stored.

[0009] These and other advantages will be shown from successive descriptions of specified preferential solutions of realisation with the help of the schematic drawings included, the particulars of execution of which are not to be considered limitative but only illustrative.

[0010] Figure 1 represents an end of a fly screen assembly kit already packaged, including a box-profile associated to a handle bar, with a disposable accessory applied at its head.

[0011] Figure 2 represents a perspective end view of a box-profile for fly screen nettings, on which a disposable accessory is applicable for the support of the coiling roll and handle bar.

[0012] Figure 3 represents a frontal view of a disposable accessory.

[0013] Figure 4 represents a section view of the disposable accessory of the preceding Figure, taken in section along the axis A-A.

[0014] Finally. Figure 5 represents the side view of a disposable accessory of the preceding Figures.

[0015] Making reference also to the figures it is disclosed that a fly screen assembly kit packaged in bars (A) is of the type destined for do-it-yourself applications. More in particular said fly screen assembly kits are essentially composed of a box-profile (1) and a handle bar (2) associated to it, with the flexible fly screen netting (5) having a handle bar end (2) outside said box-profile (1), said fly screen beign folded alongside the box-profile (1) and said handle bar being fixed to the said box-profile (1) by said disposable accessory (b). (v.Fig. 2). In this case, the box-profile (1) is composed of a profile generally in aluminium (3) inside which the housing of a coiling roll (4) of the fly screen netting (5) is found. In this case the coiling roll is of the known type, and in its turn, provides internally a roll rewinding device of the type with a preloaded spring, that is not illustrated in the drawings. Said box-profile (1) is naturally provided with two ends, at one end, once packaged it already comprises a small locking plate for the winding pivot key of the internal roll spring, which simultaneously supports an end of the coiling roll (4), and at the other end a disposable accessory (b). Said disposable accessory (b) secured to the profile (3) by means of one or more screws, is composed of a small plate, preferably in plastic material of the nylon type, from whose asymmetric conformation (6) are obtained support means both for the coiling roll (4) and for the handle bar (2) these support means being able to be inserted under pressure in the coiling roll and handle bar. The small plate (6) always provides at least two appendices to the ends of the hollow screw means (6', 6'') of which one protrudes more than the other. The asymmetric conformation of the small plate (6) recalls at least in part the area defined peripherally from the section of the profile (3); in a way that at least one hollow screw means (6'') corresponds to a longitudinal reference (3') obtained from the profile (3) in which is inserted the screw means. In a preferential solution, even the opposite screw means (6') is hollow and corresponds to a reference relative to the eventual screwing means on the profile (3). It does not exclude however, that a second hollow screw means (6') in place of the preceding one can be obtained diametrically opposite the hollow screw means (6'') in such a way as to correspond to a reference (3) analogous to the engagement place of the screw (3'). On the disposable accessory (b), in particular on one side, protrusions are made, that being formed respectively according to internal sections of the coiling roll (4) and the handle bar (2), and coaxially insertable, realizes means of support for the same. Even more in detail, a protruding support means of the coiling roll (4) obtained from the disposable accessory (b) is composed from a hollow cylindrical body (7), while means of support for the handle bar (2) is also composed of a protruding body, a section essentially "H" shaped (8). It is finally disclosed that the handle bar (2), has a conformation such as to provide a hole (2') with an almost rectangular section, inside which said second protrusion means (8) is inserted.

[0016] Therefore there is nothing more for the user to do than to cut the packaged fly screen assembly kit (A), to the wanted size, discard the disposable accessory (b), and apply finally onto the new end the corresponding and opposite small support plate which supports only the coiling roll (4).
