(57) A golf ball eliciting a great carry and a good controllability is provided. A three-piece
solid golf ball is constructed so that a solid core 1 has a two-layer structure composed
of an inner core 1a and an outer core 1b, the outer core 1b has a specific gravity
of 0.2 to 1, and the solid core having the two-layer structure is coated with a cover
formed principally of ionomer resin.
