(54) A composition for printing inks


(57) A composition for use as ingredient of printing inks, which composition comprises an organic pigment and either (a) a pigment derivative having an empirical formula (I) in the acid form :

Wherein D is a residue of an organic pigment other than azo R1 and R2 are the same or different and each is selected from hydrogen or an unsaturated aliphatic, saturated aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, m is a number of from 0 to 3 and n is a number of from 1 to 4, provided that m+n is from 1 to 5 and provided that R1 and R2 are not both hydrogen, or (b) a mono- , di-or trivalent metal or monoamine compound salt thereof.
