[0001] The invention is for a printed sheet of paper or other material capable of being
written upon on which jottings and notes can be made quickly and comprehensibly, so
that particular sections of text can be located more easily and with greater speed,
in order to enable these sections of text to be learnt or memorised and recalled more
quickly.
[0002] Until the present day ordinary sheet paper has been used for making jottings and
notes, which may or may not be provided with squares or rectangles or with horizontal
lines.
[0003] Usually the jottings or notes are written on the page with such a lack order and
degree of sloppiness that it becomes extremely difficult to gain a general understanding
of them, so that the effort of learning or memorizing particular elements of text
becomes even more difficult.
[0004] In order to remedy this and thus make jottings and notes in an easy, comprehensible
and fast way, several vertical lines with or without an intervening space are according
to the primary characteristic of the invention provided on the lefthand part of the
sheet of paper, which lines have a particular colour. All the lines may have the same
colour but be in different hues.
[0005] By way of example a more detailed description is given without in any way being exhaustive
in the following of a preferred but in now way limited embodiment of a printed sheet
of paper in accordance with the invention. This description refers to the attached
drawing where :
fig. 1 illustrates an unwritten printed sheet of paper in accordance with the invention;
fig. 2 illustrates a written printed sheet of paper.
[0006] The drawing shows a ruled sheet of paper 1 but which could also be squared paper.
On the lefthand side of the paper there are four broad vertical lines, numbered respectively
2-3-4 and 5 applied with a space between them and which have the same colour but where
the hue of each line is different, and where the lines are arranged so that the darkest
line is the furthest to the left and the lightest line is the furthest to the right.
[0007] It goes without saying that the lines can be any colour, have any shape and dimensions
whatsoever and moreover the number of lines may differ. The lines can moreover be
formed from any marks whatsoever such as dots, dashes or others. Moreover the lightest
line may appear on the lefthand side and the darkest line on the righthand side of
the sheet of paper. The various lines 2-3-4 and 5 may also be in different colours.
Finally the sheets may be loose, or take the form of a pad or notebook.
[0008] A sheet of paper divided up in this way makes it possible to start the various subdivisions
of a text on a different line so that the taking down of notes or jottings is facilitated
and can thus proceed more quickly. Another advantage is that the text becomes more
comprehensible and it is easier to locate specific sections of the text. As a result
it becomes possible to read through or study specific sections of the text and to
remember them more quickly and efficiently.
[0009] In order to make it easier to locate a particular page and to keep the pages in the
right order, each page is by preference provided with a square 6 of a particular colour
in the top righthand corner, which colour will by preference be the colour of lines
2-3-4-5. The page number is written in this square.
[0010] It goes without saying that instead of a square use could also be made of another
delineated space of any shape, size, or colour whatsoever which could be located in
any position whatsoever on the page.
