    (54) Auxiliary device to facilitate the fulfilment of intestinal physiological functions

    (57) Auxiliary device to facilitate the fulfilment of intestinal physiological functions, being intended to be situated in front of a toilet seat to permit its use by the person who, seated on said toilet seat, pretends to carry out his intestinal physiological functions, it is constituted parting from a plastic or similar rectangular platform, which is assembled on four support legs, two front ones and another two rear ones, of greater height than the former, determining a descending inclination frontwards of the actual platform, for the comfortable support on the same of the user's feet; having been foreseen that the platform is equipped with a transversal band of antiskid surface to prevent the feet from sliding, whilst the legs are equuipped wiht lower rubber tabs as a means of antiskid support of the assembly, said legs being equipped with folding means as regards the platform.

    Description

[0001] The invention refers to an auxiliary device for facilitating the fulfilment of intestinal physiological functions, intended to be placed in front of the toilet seat and to serve as support for the user's feet, when he is seated on said toilet seat in the act of carrying out his evacuation.

[0002] The persons suffering from constipation are numerous, due to many factors and circumstances, such as anxiety, lack of physical activity, age, lack of a balanced diet, etc. Obviously, when constipation symptoms present themselves in a person, the difficulty for the achievement of a correct evacuation is evident, in such a way that this situation is aggravated by the inadequate shape of the toilet seats, since the said, do not respond to a suitable anatomic conception and, in consequence, the user's position on the actual toilet seat is in no way suitable for the adequate or efficient evacuation to be carried out.

[0003] In short, the factors and/or circumstances which affect each person, in combination with this inadequate shape of the toilet seats, produce constipation which undoutedly affect very detrimentally his life quality.

[0004] The device recommended has been designed to solve this problem with complete efficiency and in a very simple manner. In this sense, the device of the invention is formed by means of a small support platform for the feet, said platform being assembled on four folding legs, forming a ramp so that the support of the feet offers the most suitable and optimum position for carrying out the evacuation in an adequate manner.

[0005] The daily use of the device when performing the evacuation, preferibly always at the same time, together with a balanced diet rich in fibre, shall appreciably improve the constipation problem of any person.

[0006] The previously indicated platform shall be smooth and shall present transversal zone with antiskid surface to prevent the feet, on its support on the inclined platform, from sliding.

[0007] The folding legs allow the device to occupy a minimum volume when not in use, allowing an easy storage in any place. Said legs present ends equipped with similar rubber or antiskid material tabs, which on the one hand, shall prevent the skidding of the device, and on the other hand, shall eliminate any possibility whatever, of abrasion or scratching of the floor.

[0008] The material which constitutes the device shall preferibly be plastic due to its low cost, light weight and easy molding, being able to be manufactured in different colours and sizes in order to comply with the demands of each age.

[0009] To facilitate the best understanding of the characteristics of the invention, a detailed description is herewith carried out, based on a drawing sheet enclosed with the present descriptive report, forming an integral part of the same, in which the following has been represented simply with orientative and non-limitative character:

[0010] Figure 1 shows a schematic representation, in front and upper perspective of the device of the invention.

[0011] In said figure, the numerical references correspond to the following parts and elements:

    1. Platform.

    2. Front legs

    3. Rear legs

    4. Rubber tabs of the legs

    5. Antiskid surface of the platform.

[0012] According to what is observed in said figure, the device of the invention is made up of a platform (1) assembled on four vertical legs, two front ones (2) and another two (3) rear ones, these being of greater height than the former, determining that the platform (1) remains in an inclined position to support the feet, when a person is seated on a toilet seat and in a situation or in the act of carrying out his physiological/intestinal functions.

[0013] The legs (2) and (3), which are foldable, are equipped with rubber tabs (4) on their lower ends, constituting antiskid supports for the assembly, whilst the platform (1) is transversaly equipped with a band of antiskid surface (5) to prevent the feet from sliding.

[0014] The platform (1), which shall be advantageously rectangular, shall present standard measurements which are the appropriate ones in order to offer a comfortable space for the feet.

[0015] The legs may be complemented with lower tabs with different measurements and interchangeable, to make up for the lack of height during use, of persons of low stature.

[0016] In the case of infant users, the measurements of the legs could suffer a considerable increase as regards height. Additionally, the device intended for infant use shall be complemented with a backing formed by a handrail-handle which shall serve as stop to help the child maintain his balance whilst he is using it.

    Claims

    1. Auxiliary device to facilitate the fulfilment of intestinal physiological functions, being intended to be situated in front of a toilet seat to permit its use by the person who, seated on said toilet seat, pretends to carry out his intestinal physiological functions, is essentially characterized in that it is constituted parting from a plastic or similar rectangular platform, which is assembled on four support legs, two front ones and another two rear ones, of greater height than the former, determining a descending inclination frontwards of the actual platform, for the comfortable support on the same of the user's feet; having been foreseen that the platform is equipped with a transversal band of antiskid surface to prevent the feet from sliding, whilst the legs are equipped wiht lower rubber tabs as a means of antiskid support of the assembly, said legs being equipped with folding means as regards the platform.
