(57) The invention relates to an arrangement for mounting the hydraulic cylinder of an elevator. The arrangement comprises the elevator guide rails (2) and a hydraulic cylinder (5) provided with a piston (6). The cylinder is mounted on the elevator guide rails (2) by means of holding devices (3) attached to the rails and supporting a cylinder supporter (7).
