(54)	Method and system for determining the end of a cloth roll for use in cylinder cleaners for printing press

(57) A cylinder cleaning device for determining the end of a cleaning media (C) for use in cleaning the cylinder (2) of a printing press. At least one target indicia (20,22,24,26) is positioned at a user-selected position on a cleaning media. At least one target indicia (62) is positioned on the cleaning media supply roll core (60). Each target indicia is capable of being sensed by at least one sensor (5). The at least one sensor is positioned from the target indicias so as to detect the indicia as the cleaning media is taken up by the cleaning media take-up roll (4). The at least one sensor signals a response when a media target indicia is detected. The at least one sensor generate an end of cloth signal when the core target indicia is detected.
