(54) Extended life rust and oxidation oils


(57) A lubricant composition comprising a base oil, rust and oxidation inhibitors and

(a) a dithiocarbamate of formula (I)

wherein R4 is a hydrocarbylene group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, the groups R5 are the same or different and each is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, and the groups R3 are the same or different and each is a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms; and

(b) an alkylphenyl-α-naphthylamine of formula (II)

wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and each is hydrogen or C1 to C18 alkyl.
