(54) Cover for cases with an application roller

(57) A cover for cases with an application roller.
A first part (1) made of a hard moulded material, constitutes an enclosure for a case (4) full of wax and having an application head (5) (6). A second part (7), in the form of a sleeve made of an elastic heat insulating material, lines the side surface of part (1), defining a gripping area.
The invention applies to wax cases that are to be used upon heating for depilation, preventing heat from being conveyed to the outside and delaying its dispersal.

Description

OBJECT

[0001] The object of the present invention is a cover for cases with an application roller, that, in addition to the function for which it is designed, affords a number of advantages discussed hereinafter, and others that are inherent in its organisation and construction.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Cases are currently known that are designed to contain solid state depilatory wax that is liquefied by heating for an easier spreading of the wax in a sheet-like layer on the skin using an application device that forms an integral part of the case.

[0003] The wax contained in the case of the above kind is heated by means of a specific device to such end, which consists of one or more enclosures in which the solid wax cases are located, and from which they are taken out when the wax has melted in order to be used in the depilatory process.

[0004] This current technique provides a considerable safety over former methods, in which highly skilled staff applied the wax heated in a container using a spatula. The expertise of the staff played a significant role here in order to avoid possible injuries to and burning of the skin. This is why cases provided with a molten wax sheet-like applicator have become rather widespread in the market, and apparatus have simultaneously been designed for heating the same.

[0005] The problem which arises in the normal manipulation of said cases by their user has not, however, as yet been resolved, in the sense that said cases are first heated in the relevant apparatus and with the wax melted reach a high temperature which renders them difficult to handle and causes the user's hands to be burnt.

[0006] No means are known in the prior art separate from the application case albeit attachable thereto once it is taken out of the heating apparatus, rendering the case easy to grip without hindering the application function, protecting the user from the high temperature conveyed by the case.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] The cover for cases subject of the invention solves precisely the problems set forth hereinabove: conveyance of the heat accumulated in the case onto the hands of the user handling such case.

[0008] The cover proposed herein consists of a prism-shaped body open on its top base, housing in its interior a case containing wax in liquid state after being first heated, the application head projecting from the prism-shaped body. The prism-shaped body is made of a hard moulded material and provides a snug enclosure for the case, which allows both elements to be handled as if they were a unit. Externally, the prism-shaped body has a tubular rubber or soft plastic wrapping covering its entire side surface, providing a heat insulation, which allows the unit to the handled without there being any risk of burns or heat hazards.

[0009] In accordance with the above, a first objective of the invention is to preserve the user from the hazards and risks derived from the high temperature of the wax case, for an easier manipulation during operation.

[0010] A second objective of the invention lies in holding the wax in fluid state for as long as possible, in order that it may be used and applied in a sheet-like layer on the skin, due to the presence of the insulating cover that delays heat dispersion.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0011] For a fuller description and an easier construction of the formal and structural characteristics of the invention, attached is a sheet of drawings showing the cover subject of the invention.

[0012] Figure 1 is a semi-sectional front elevation view of the cover.

[0013] Figure 2 is a cross-section of the cover, along II-II.

[0014] Figure 3 is a longitudinal sectional side elevation view of the cover in the functional position, containing a wax case provided with an application head.

DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0015] In order to clearly show the nature and advantageous application of the cover subject of the invention, its structure and configuration will be described below with reference to the drawings which show a preferred embodiment for informative purposes and should therefore be construed in the broadest sense and not to limit the scope of the invention.

[0016] Figure 1 shows the cover subject of the invention, comprising a prism-shaped body, generally designated -1-, made of a hard moulded material, open at its top base -2-and leading into the hollow interior, which provides an enclosure -3- to snugly receive a wax case -4- provided with an application head -5- with a roller -6- spreading the fluid wax in a sheet-like layer.

[0017] The body -1- has a tight rubber or elastic plastic material wrapping -7-, spreading over almost the entire side surface of said body -1-, serving an insulating function for the case temperature -4-, providing an athermous grip for the case -4- and cover -1-7- as a whole and concurrently standing as a means for preserving the temperature of the case -4- in order to extend as far as possible the fluid state in which the wax may be applied and thereby achieve a better performance.

[0018] The body -1- has a continuous outward lip -8- on its mouth whereas the base -9- of said body -1- has a perimetric extension -10-. The said lip -8- and the perimetric extension -10- bound the ends of the insulating wrapping -7-, to avoid slipping and keep it in a functionally appropriate position.

[0019] The base -9- and the relevant perimetric extension-10- provide a stable supporting plane for the unit when in the upright position.

[0020] In accordance with the foregoing, the cases -4heated in the relevant heating devices are inserted in the covers -1-7- to be handled without risking burns, the accumulated heat being moreover extended in time, for the case -4- provided with the application head -5-6- to have a longer operating range.

Claims

1. A cover for cases with an application roller, said cases being of the kind designed to contain solid state depilatory wax that is melted by heating to be applied in a sheet-like layer on the skin, essentially characterised by consisting of two parts, one of which comprises a prism-shaped body (1) made of a hard moulded material, open at the top on the base (2), leading into its inner cavity (3) which provides an enclosure for the snug location of a conventional wax containing case (4) provided with an application head (5) (6), which is kept outside said body (1), whereas the other part consists of a sleeve (7) of a heat-insulating elastic moulded material, whose section and height are equivalent to the respective dimensions of the body (1) it contains, lining the side surface of the latter body, extending between a lip (8) and a perimetric extension (10) of the base of said body (1).
