(54) Contact pressure adjusting device of printing press


(57) A contact pressure adjusting device of a printing press is provided which, even when the cylinder diameters vary, can easily maintain an appropriate contact pressure to ensure stable printing quality. In the printing press having contact pressure adjusting means comprising an eccentric bearing (2) for supporting the shaft end of a wiping roller (1), and a contact pressure adjusting motor (12) for rotating the eccentric bearing relative to a frame to vary the core-to-core distance between the wiping roller (1) and an intaglio cylinder (4), the contact pressure adjusting device is constructed such that a torque sensor (21) is provided for detecting the torque of a gear shaft (25) in a drive system for the wiping roller, and the contact pressure adjusting motor (12) is feedback controlled by a control device (20) based on the detected value of the torque sensor (21) so that the detected value of the torque sensor will become the torque under appropriate contact pressure.
