(54) Partition system


(57) The present invention relates to a security partitioning system (2) comprising a plurality of structural support posts (1) supporting a plurality of security wall panels (6). Each panel (6) has a panel support means (8) with first, releasable, engagement means (44) at or in the vicinity of the panel edge and each structural support post (1) comprises a profiled tube having a diameter of at least 70mm and a multiplicity of angularly spaced apart longitudinal undercut slots (13). The walls of said slots (13) are provided with second engagement means (24) for releasable engagement by said first engagement means (44) provided on the panel support means (8). The structural support posts (1) are provided with lower and upper anchorage means (65,58) for securely anchoring said posts (1) to the floor (66) and to structural ceiling elements, whereby said support posts (1) provide a substantially secure support for said security partitioning system.
