(54)	Manufacturing method of a motor vehicle component

(57) A method for the manufacturing of a headrest (1) or a steering wheel (21) or an armrest (31) for motor vehicles comprises the steps of forming a pillow element (3), laying an upholstery flexible sheet (4) onto the front surface (13) of the pillow element (3), and introducing the pillow element (3) with the flexible sheet (4) as an insert into a foaming mould (M) having a complementarily shaped seat (S). An outer body (2) is thus foamed within the mould (M) around the seat (S), so as to permanently secure the outer body (2) simultaneously to the pillow element (3) and to the perimetral edge (14a) of the flexible sheet (4).
