A process for forming a peracid and a composition comprising said peracid |
(57) The present invention relates to a process for forming a peracid which comprises
the step of reacting in aqueous medium an alpha mono alkylated carboxylic acid and/or
an alpha mono alkoxylated carboxylic acid with hydrogen peroxide or a water-soluble
source thereof. Further disclosed are compositions comprising an alpha mono alkylated
percarboxylic acid and/or alpha mono alkoxylated percarboxylic acid and compositions
comprising an alpha mono alkylated carboxylic acid and/or alpha mono alkoxylated carboxylic
acid and hydrogen peroxide or a water-soluble source thereof .
