(54)	Luminaire for line illumination

(57) The luminaire for line illumination has a trunk (1) in which a light carrier (2) can be fastened. A trunk-shaped coupling piece (3) grips around the outside of the trunk (1) and is capable of coupling it to a second, adjoining trunk (1'). A resilient member (4) is fastened to a top wall (30) of the coupling member (3) with rotation possibility along this top wall (30). The resilient member (4) clamps against the top wall (30) of the coupling member (3) and against the top wall (10) of the trunk (1), releasing the top wall (10) when it is rotated sideways through windows (33) in the trunk-shaped coupling member (3).
